Preparations for the Spring Garden Night are well underway! All of our families will have the opportunity to help provide support for Oak Ridge Elementary by taking part in the creation of gift baskets to be sold at the event’s silent auction.
We are asking that the parents in each grade collectively contribute items according to grade-level themes (see below). We hope that through your individual donation we will be able to collect enough items to provide 5 activity baskets filled with fun and educational materials for our silent auction. Please send in new items only and feel free to get creative:
Pre-K/Kindergarten – Get Crafty: art supplies, craft kits, markers, crayons, paint, clay, gift cards to art stores
1st Grade – Summer Fun: sidewalk chalk, bubbles, jump ropes, balls, sunglasses, goggles, pool toys, inflatables, water noodles
2nd Grade – Everything Baking: cookbooks, recipe holders, whisks, spatulas, measuring-spoons, pans, etc.
3rd Grade – Garden Time: seeds to plant, garden tools, small herb pots, gloves, small garden tools, garden signs
4th Grade – Make time to Relax: bath balms, essential oils, face & hand masks, nail polish, bubble bath, spa & nail gift cards
Your participation is not only a great way to help our school and a good way to help you pare down on the surplus many accumulate after the holidays, but important for our home community and our spirit.
Each basket will be recognized in our auction materials and on our ORE PTO website. Your child can drop off their donation anytime between now and 4/10/2018. Collection has already started!
Please let us know if you have connections to other possible auction donations – we are looking for electronics, jewelry, tickets to theater and/or sporting events, homegoods, salon/spa certificates, etc. Feel free to contact us with any questions.
